Leatherman continues to produce the best multi tool on the market in 2016. Instead of trying to beat the charge AL and Charge ALX, they combined them with this ground breaking tool. On top of combing two of the best, they added some additional features to make sure that the TTi could make a stamp of its own on the multi tool world.

The TTi sports a clip point blade meticulously crafted from stainless steel. There aren’t many, if any, multi tools that have a blade of that quality. If you are looking to do a lot of cutting, then this is the best multi tool for you!

After the blade, the next thing I noticed what the quality of the cutting hook. It looked sharper than you usually see, so I did some digging and was amazed at what I found. I read multiple reviews saying they used this cutting hook to cut thru seatbelts and even a few that said they regularly use it to cut linoleum on the job site. I barely ever consider using my butting hook for anything on my multi tool but I’m sure that would change if I had one like this!

This multi tool also has multiple bit drivers so that you have some options to decide what the best fit is for your current activity. No more having to try and use a bit that is way to small but all that you have.

In total, this multi tool has 19 different tools you can choose from as you see fit. All of these tools tuck neatly into the corrosion resistant premium alloyed titanium handles. When you aren’t using the multi tool, you can store it in the included quality sheath.

Being the best multi tool on this list, it is more expensive than many of the others on this list. That being said, it is not the most expensive option either. It is a very good quality tool for the price and should be considered if you are looking for a great quality product that is going to last.

                      Pros

                      • - Made in the USA.
                      • - Replaceable Wire Cutters.
                      • - A Great Value for all that you get.

                      Cons

                      • - Tools Aren't Accessible From The Outside.
                      • - Low Quality Included Carrying Case.

I remember having a Leatherman that looked just like this in my tackle box as a kid. They brought back the old school look and feel when they made this great multi tool. It has everything that you average used could want at the flip of a wrist.

This one was designed for all us blue color folks out there that need something simple and reliable that is also portable. With 19 different tools, it has all the normal tools that you might run into a need for. You will find pliers, a saw, a knife, and a variety of different size bits.

When it comes to durability, it’s hard to beat heat treated stainless steel. Everything in this tool is constructed of stainless steel, from the tools to the handle. The fact that it is made from stainless steel means that it is going to be heavier than a lot of the other options we found in our search for the best multi tool. The great construction will ensure that you get years of use out of it if you take proper care of your new multi tool.

One of the only negative thing I have to say about this design is that none of the tools are outside accessible. That means that you need to fully open the multi tool in order to open any of the tools. This can be a bit of a pain, but this design does give you a very strong grip with your pliers.

When it comes to price, this option is very good for what you are getting. If you are looking for something that is in the middle of the field, this might be the best multi tool for you.

As with every Gerber product, the 600 DET was designed to offer industrial strength, amazing versatility and easy handling at a great value. Gerber is known for producing some of the best multi tools on the market, so we could not exclude them from this list of multi tool reviews. If you are looking for versatility in a compact tool then you the Gerber 600 DET might be the best multi tool for you.

One of Gerber’s most recognizable features is the sliding lock they use on almost all of their multi tools. This allows you to lock the tool you are using in place until you are done and want to tuck it back away. It is very simple to use and helps make sure that you don’t have any slips or accidents.

This specific Gerber product was designed alongside the Army’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal for their very specific needs. This means that it is equipped with some very job specific tools, like a C4 punch and a blast cap crimper. If you are looking to defuse some bombs on a daily basis, then this is the best multi tool of the bunch!

Just because it was designed to meet the needs of an EOD team, doesn’t mean that it isn’t great for anyone else. The RemGrit saw on this thing was meant to cut through anything you can throw at it. It was designed to cut through ballistic cord, so items the average person would cut are going to be way to easy.

Looking at value, you have to consider how much time and money went into designing such a specific multi tool. The costing of designing this tool has to be considered when pricing it from a business point of view. That considered, I believe that this is a great value to the right person for everything it has.

If you are looking for the best multi tool for a tactical or law enforcement environment, the MUT might be perfect for you. It is the perfect option for someone who is looking to make adjustments to their AR-15 or other weapon. That being said, it was designed as an all around multi tool and is great for just about anyone.

One of the coolest and most unique things about this multi tool is the replaceable bronze carbon scraping tool. This is the perfect tool for scraping away the carbon inside your weapon when you are performing weapons maintenance. They chose bronze because it is less likely to scrape or scar your weapons while you are cleaning.

One of the downfalls of the MUT is that it is not typically considered a multi tool that you would carry around all day. It is the heaviest tool we found while searching for the best multi tool, at just over 11oz. It was designed for more of the outdoors and survivalist crowd who can clip this bad boy on the back of their backpack and take it along.

Leatherman also designed this multi tool for electricians, giving them everything they might ask for. Of the 16 tool options, you will get stranded with cutters, electrical crimpers, and replaceable hard and regular wire cutters.

When it comes down to looks, this is one of the most aggressive looking multi tools on the list. With a skeletal design, you can see the tools inside at all times. The carabiner is another great touch that you don’t see with many other multi tools.

If you are an electrician or weapons expert, this is a great value for you. It is in the middle of the pack when it comes to price, which is great if you look at all that you get.

                                                    • - Lacks some tools that are consdirred

If you take a normal Leatherman and add a pair of vice grips, you get the Leatherman Crunch. It is a specialty multi tool that is designed to be perfect for a handy man or electrician.

You are making a trade-off when purchasing this tool over all of the others. You lose out on needle nosed plyers because you need to have the larger teeth for the locking grip you get with the Crunch. This is something that a lot of people can’t afford to lose, so make sure that you consider that before making your decision.

Alongside the vice grips, you get 14 other tools to use in order to accomplish your mission. The tools and skeleton are all constructed from stainless steel, so you don’t need to worry about bending or breaking anything when you apply torque to the multi tool. It would take another piece of machinery, or you doing something stupid, to really do any damage to the Crunch.

With a weight of just under 7oz, this is a very portable option for something so useful. It is the perfect size and weight to throw in your toolbox, with your screwdrivers, as a backup when you are on the job. It might also be the perfect tool to keep around the house for small repairs and odd-jobs.
